Hi, I have discovered my dl's becomes faster during burning DVD using Nero. Has anybody encountered the same and can someone explain why is this so ? The full speed before burning seldom touches 100 KB/s but goes way beyond this during burning. I have learnt to capitalised on this for my dls.

now this does sound like a bizarre old wife's tale if ever i heard one :)
i've certainly had a dvd burn crash on me when kicking off a torrent download (CPU went 100% busy, hard drive had kittens and the burn was a crispy mess. boy was i annoyed as it was a waste of a nice Verbatim disc

There is no phenomenon, because there is no logic behind it.

It's either

-In your heads
-Complete Coincidence

Burning a DVD will not increase torrent speeds! ;-)

LMAO..

you really need to stop eating cheese at night, and look up some info on how the downloading works, cus burning a DVD in Nero has zilch to do with this.

i can't believe we're even replying to this!

bless 'em :-)

Guys, if you reckon it works for you, by all means burn a disc whilst downloading. Just make sure it's a DVDRW ;-)

Having mentioned this topic I have also noticed the increased in my dl speed does not necessarily reflect the actual data transfer thought. By that I mean for example my dl for one task says 40Kb/s but the actual data transfered indicated by bitcomet status screen would be 20Kb/s (normally abut half the stated dl speed). Thus I wondered what good is the increase in speed if the actual data transfer is the same ??? or perhaps is there a limitation in my pc transfer rate (i/o). Hmmmmmmmmm ??? Puzzling ???
