Backing up PS2 games

I am getting frustrated. I just bought and attached a flip top to my PS2. I used DVD decrypter (and alcohol 120%) to copy the ISO to a DVD-R. When I boot up the PS2 with the Magic Swap DVD installer, I am prompted to load in the copy of the game I just backed up. When I switch them out and press X, the screen goes blank and I can hear the disk trying to load, but nothing else happens after that. Can somebody please tell me if there is anything else I can do to get this to work? I have been fussing with this thing all day to no avail. Thank you for your time.

Ok, you're setup seems fine.

Me think's it's the media you're using (brand of DVDs)

Put simply, PS2 games are a sensitive type of data and require high quality discs.

I reccomend some Verbatim, or Tuiyo Yuden discs, and just burn at half the maximum speed. (Eg. I burn 8x Verbatim DVD-R's at 4x and have had no coasters whatsoever)

What brand of media are you using? and what speed are you burning at?

DVD Decrypter ISO READ then ISO WRITE at 2x or 4x works best...

I was using HP DVDR- but I switched to Verbatim and it is working fine. Thanks for all of your help. Little did I know that I could have saved myself a world of trouble by just springing for the more expensive media.
