When I try to play a backup of madden 2006, it has lots of slowdowns in the game and longggg load times. It gets to the point where the game isnt even playable anymore. I used 8x DVD+R Taiyo Yudens and booktyped them to DVD-ROM. I am also using SM 3.6 with the slide tool. I also rebuilt the game using one of the guides on here. Please help.

Do you have any other games that worked with dvd+r media.. even booktyped? and what speed did you burn at?

I think personally that you may be better off with dvd-r for the FAT PS2.. buy a small pack of good quality dvd-r 8x discs and try those, burning at 4x.

This is the only game that does this. I burned at 2.3x

Yes, NBA Live 2006 and FIFA 2006, the only two other backups i have are on Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD+R media and work perfect.

Ok, so it's not the media... in that case, did you rebuild the iso? I believe the NTSC version needs rebuilding...

Did you try rebuilding it with gnies rebuilding tool.. there's a link in my profile to get the program..

then follow this.. it's really simple and will replace any dummy files too.

Here's how to use it.. it might not work for all games though.

Open the program.

1. Select the Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins drop down list.
2. Select the iso you want to rebuild.
3. Click extract LBA.
4. Click extract file and wait for it to finish.
5. Click rebuild file and wait for it to finish.
6. Click rebuild LBA.
7. Burn the new iso with Nero or DVD Decrypter as usual.
