This is the only thing that I can find in Nero about this error "Disc-at-once This is a write process which does not create links between the individual sessions. The recorder starts by writing the lead-in, which is followed by the data and the lead-out. This process is used primarily by manufacturers of audio CDs.

Disc-at-once/96 is an extension of Disc-at-once which gives the software better control of the burning process. This mode is preferable, if it is available."

If anybody has a solid solution please let me know....Please not maybe if you try this!
Thank You for the help

Has this Gwendolin got nothing better to do than butting her nose into threads that helep other folk out instead of whingeing about long threads? Nobody has asked her for her input,so it has got nothing to do with her.

MaxBurn has not complained about reading long threads. From it.He has been a great assistance to others,so I suggest if Gwendolin from Australia,or wherever does not like reading long threads, she butt out!!

Hi revoraman,
Ive been away from AD for a while. Part of it was a vacation. What i ment about long threads, is when someone like camron9 opened up this thread up with a generic Nero error heading like this one has. It invites hichhikers, or other ppl to post saying "i have this problem too", and that makes working on the errors harder, as each log is different. They may have the same error being reported, but the fix is different for each one in most cases. The best way to do this is to open up a thread of your own, with a log and have the thread creator the only one posting problems. Anyone can join in for the fix, but the poster should be the only one in there posting problems. That makes it easier for fixers to get in there and fix that problem without having to fix several other problems also at the same time (and increasing the chance of getting confused). With that said, i will still tell you what i see in you log, as the thread i linked you to doesnt have this last Nero log posted.
Your problem looks persistant. You have tried different media and lots of other suggestions. Looking at that last log, i have a couple of suggestions. Try a regular non RW disc, and make sure it says NO multisession on the burn page. While you are in there, i would also uncheck the disc speed measurement. Your last log got a failure because it could not format the RW disc.
Quote:
10:19:13 #28 Phase 101 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1730
Formatting disc failed
I also saw in another log where you were using a TY disc non RW but had it set up for multi-session, in other words, the disc would not be closed, and kept open for more data to be added later.
Quote:
TOCType: 0x00; Session Closed, disc not fixated
It should be session closed disc fixated
I suggest you either build up the amount of pictures so that the total size gets closer to using up most of the disc (larger size pictures, or more of them), or just keep it the same size as you have, but burn it anyway, and close the disc using one of those Ty discs. I have had mixed results with the RICHOJPN (mine were in a Fuji DVD+RW 3 pack and only 1 worked).
I cant see anything else major wrong going on in that log. You are not getting the files not found problem, so you fixed that one. Everyone of your logs had a medium error, even the TY one in the other thread, but thats the one you had set up for multi-session also. That's all i can think of. If you still cant get it to work with Nero, you might try some other program. I dont know of one to suggest. Usually when Nero becomes a complete pain for movie burning, switching to DVD Decrypter for the burn gets the job done in most cases. For the picture DVD you would still use Nero to do the compiling, but have it output to a DVD ISO file, then use either decrypter or something like imageburn to do your actual disc burning. Just a thought, and worth a try if you havent already tried that.

Hi MaxBurn

Welcome back.I have since I last posted to this thread,re-formatted my PC,and re-installed a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro.So far I have only burnt a Verbatim CD-R disk using the latest updated Nero 7 Premium software, and have had no problems----touch wood--- as it shows up as a Track-at-Once burn.I have not yet tried a DVD burn but when I inadvertently selected DVD as the media to carry out the burn, all I could see was a Disc-At-Once option and it was greyed out,so I could not change it.

However, when I have organised the files I want to put onto a DVD disk, and if I run into the same old problems,I'll send you the log.

For now, carry on being the superstar that you are. There are a lot of people out there who rely on an ace like you.Keep up the sterling work.Hope the vacation went swimmingly well and you feel refreshed.

Bye

Thanks for the compliments revoraman. I am glad you have it working for CDs at least. Figuring out fixes for problems isnt always easy or possible, but we try. I needed a break from everything, and i feel much better now. I still am not going in to fix logs as much as i used to, but we have many good memebers working here, and AD seemed to get by fine without me for a few weeks. As always, if you have a problem, post the log, and i or any of the regulars will be happy to try to get you burning.
AD also seems to have muzzled many of the problem posters, and that makes for a much nicer environment here.

Good luck and happy burning. :)
