Tis is kinda funny and sad. I had a customers computer here today. If ya look at my sig I run a small repair shop. Anyway its here for a no turn on. Im looking at it and it seems the psu is shot. So I start elimating things to see if a drive or fan is shorted. Well as soon as I unplugged the fan it fired right up but couldnt recognize the hard drive. The wires were chafed and touching together on the fan. And also toucking the case. The fan was plugged into the same lead as the drive. I called the lady and explained to her. Her son just put the fan in and did a wonderful job. So not only was the hard drive fried but it also aced and went through another drive that wasnt even plugged in. Just sitting there fo a occasional backup. Guess her son left the secondary bolted in, but not plugged in for back up issues. Luckily nothing else seems to be fried. So moral of the story and two hundred dollar drives fried due to a five dollar fan....make sure when ya put something together recheck everything and make sure there is nothing touching or chafed.:>

Now me got to go fix this ladies comp. And see if I can resurrect the drive to back up data.:>
