What DVD Recorder is the best for 3hr record and macrovsion free?

Hi I'm a new user and are very interested in getting a new stand alone DVD recorder,but have no experience in this units, So can anyone recomend a unit that I can hook up to my satellite unit and backup DVD's and record home movies from my DV camcorder, I've been researching this and know I'd want the unit to record 3Hr format, and macrovision free or hack and no firiwire input, just Digital Video input, thanks for any help.
