Anybody having problems with this ISO?? I have 3 coasters now :(
All three have eventually gone to the loading screen, but it takes about 3-4 minutes in order to do so. I've never really had any problems with other EA games....
Anybody else having problems?? Thanks in advance...

I tried burning at 2x, 4x (which I normally do), and even rebuilt the ISO and none of these worked for me. I didn't find a dummy.dat, etc. file so I don't think that's the problem.
Maybe it's a bad ISO? It was a torrent so maybe the ISO is an improper/corrupt one.

What kind of media are you using? Sometimes EA games can be stubborn and require a rebuild.
91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...
Last but not least you can use DVD Info Pro: http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
10. Q. What does rebuilding an iso mean?
A. It means that some games 4.36-4.38GB's may need rebuilt to work with Swap Magic. This isn't true for ALL games over 4.38GB's and differs on a game to game basis. There is no need to rebuild games if you have a modchip. Another purpose of rebuilding is to make games run smoother. Usually the size of the game after rebuilding is smaller, but not always. If you're a Swap Magic user, make sure to look out for dummy files when rebuilding.
11. Q. How Do I rebuild games?
A. With Nero and Isobuster (works as long as no single file is over 2 GB's): http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/197949 With CD/DVDGen: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/210515 With Expert (Gnie's new rebuilding tool):
Gnie's PS2 Auto Rebuilder Tool Download (Thanks to 3DLuis):
http://www.alucard.cc/ps2/ExPERT_v1.03.rar
Instructions to Gnie's Tool ExPERT From Paddymail:
Here's how to use it.. it might not work for all games though.
Open the program.
1. Select the Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins drop down list.
2. Select the iso you want to rebuild.
3. Click extract LBA.
4. Click extract file and wait for it to finish.
5. Click rebuild file and wait for it to finish.
6. Click rebuild LBA.
7. Burn the new iso with Nero or DVD Decrypter as usual.

Try one of the other methods of rebuilding. Expert is supposed to be real easy to use. What's the Media ID of the DVD's you're using?

That's not the Media ID. Read my previous post a little more carefully. It's a possibility, but I doubt it. It's more likely bad media or the game needs rebuilt.

Nah that's what I wanted to know. Try rebuilding the game. Expert is real easy to use and does the work for you.

I'm using TDK 8x DVD-R's
Manufacturer ID: TTG02
I've made successfull backups of every 2006 EA sports title and never had to rebuild or anything until this game. I've always used 4x speed, always on DVD Decrypter.
I've tried 2x, 4x, and rebuilt using isobuster/nero....nothing worked. At 4x burn the screen was blank, then after a few minutes the loading screen appeared, then never loaded the game.
I'm also using swap magic 3.6

That media is decent, but not great. You should try to get some Taiyo Yuden's or Verbatim's. I know you said you checked for dummy files, but did you check every folder? The dummy files are usually in the root directory of the iso, but not always. It'll most likely be Dummy.dat, dummy, or dummydata. Get some Taiyo Yuden's or Verbatim's from http://www.supermediastore.com You can Maxell's at CompUSA or Office Depot that're made in Japan. You can find Sony DVD+R's at chain stores that're Taiyo Yuden's. In either case, the "Made in Japan" on the labe is the key. Sams Club has 50 packs of Verbatims on sale for $15. Any of those should be fine. I think it's a media issue or a dummy file you're missing. Also is your firmware up to date? Is your burner in DMA mode?
92. Q. What is firmware and why should I care?
A. Firmware as defined by AD:
Sort of a "operating system of the hardware", an embedded instruction set built-in or flashed into a hardware equipment, such as a router, CDR drive, DVD-ROM drive, washing machine, etc.
Newer Firmware can unlock new features that are sealed on certain DVD Burners like booktyping, or simply enhance your existing Burner by improving burn quality and media compatiblility. Keeping your Firmware up to date is essential to ensure quality burns and maximum functionality from your DVD Burner. When flashing your burner with new Firmware, be very careful. Make sure you shut down all programs running in the background, the DVD-ROM drive is empty, and you follow all the directions included in the Firmware download exactly. A bad flash can fry your DVD Burner. Proceed with caution. You can find all the Firmware you'll ever need here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php

Well you need to make sure your firmware is up to date. Also make sure your burner is in DMA mode. You need to read the links I post, they're there for your aide, not mine.

I checked every single file, and there were no dummy files. Checked my firmware and everything is up to date. Not really sure where to go from here....

Okay then get some better media, TDK isn't anything special. Pick up some Verb's or TY's. Did you make sure your burner is in DMA mode? You certainly haven't tried everything yet. Stick with it, you'll get it.

That pretty much leaves the media or the iso. You don't necessarily have the same rip. Though for a such a new game, it's more likely because there probably aren't a ton of different rips of it uploaded yet.

I'm thinking it's the ISO...I've never had problems with these TDK's before, and all of a sudden I do for ONE game?? It could be coincidence, but I'm going to wait and get another ISO before I start making even more coasters.

Well some games are funny. If you have Verb's, give it a try. It'd be silly not to at this point. I really think there's a good chance it's the media. I will acquire this game and burn it to Taiyo Yuden's. I can say with 99.9% certainty it'll play perfectly. Try to burn it to the Verb's. That's my opinion, you're free to do as you choose.
