well i just backed up a movie that was region coded for region 2. I recoded it as a region free DVD. when i play it on my PC it works fine on both my region 1 DVD compatible drives, but when i put it in my stand alone players i get errors from both of them. the first one starts to read te disk the stops and the display sais PAL. and the other starts to read the disk then i get this error saying "Not NTSC". so if u have any idea as to wat the problem is could u let me no ? oh and im using Verbatim DVD-Rs at 8x so theres no question about the media.

PAL DVDs won't play on NTSC playback equipment. Your PC doesn't care.

There are conversion programs available but the best way is to get a player that can play both.

just burnt another dvd and its the same thing. do u no where i can get these "conversion programs" ? and how can i tell if my standalone player is PLA or NTSC ? and do u no anywhere where i can get a standalone that plays both PAL and NTSC DVDs ? sorry for so many questions but im a perfectionist and if my sh^t dosent work then i freak out ^_^
