I am going to england in a couple weeks to visit a friend of mine and I wanted to give her a couple of Sex and the city DVD's that I copied of mine. Is there any difference with english DVD players compared to US DVD players? Anything I need to redo for those DVD's?
the region codes are different.....if you took out the region code when burning and your copy is region free then it should be ok to use in Europe. Otherwise you should re copy the DVD and make it region free. what programs did you use? use DVDInfo Pro and check to see that your Disc Region codes are all 1-8 (which means your disk will play in any region). http://www.dvdinfopro.com/
You will need make it region free to play, also make sure your friend has a multi-system player, i.e. it will play files recorded in NTSC file system because that is what North America has, whereas the european system is PAL.
