Click on the DVD button on the main screen. Pick your AVI file. Select VCD (again on the main screen). Then Advanced button. You'll see all the options there. Select which ones you desire. Hit OK. Then OK again and the conversion starts.
Speaking of Win AVI, Do you guys have crash problems when trying to use the DivX codec(5.2.1 or 6.1)? Mine Crashes all the time or the video is not there. Very frustrating considering it's one of the only programs I have found that actualy lets you configure the codec. I must be missing something! Even whithin the DivX converter and decoder utility, I can't configure the darn thing. Whats the point, right?
Are you still just using the VCD function, or have you had success using the DivXcodec? I have k-lite too, I guess I could re-install it and see what happens, I believe it comes with DivX 5.something, I wonder if I should not install that one and leave 6.1?
The best advice I can give you is, uninstall everything. Download the above codec pack and install it.
There's a real good version of WinAvi going around in torrents. So I recommend you to download that as well..
Install everything agian & everything should work fine.
Answer to your question....VCD option works fine. But when you try to convert an AVI file in to 2 mpg files, the split option doesn't show.
Other than that all works
