Ever since i reinstalled my os, my video cad has been giving me problems when playing 3d games like Half life 2, halo and even quake3. All of my drivers are up to date, but everytime i load a game it plays for about a minute or 2 before the game freezes and Vpu recover comes on. ive sent this to ati a number of times but they dont seem to be replying to anything. Ive tried everything on the settings, refresh rates, lower the quality, but nothing seems to be working. any suggestions????

ive done that a number of times with no luck, there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with the card since it works fines with everything else. Bios maybe?

yeah i did it twice with no luck.reinstalled the drivers and everything(i even tried using some older drivers). im pretty much dry. Ati customer service is very slow responding .

what kinda of driver do u use i use omega drivers you ??? WHAT KIND OF SEMPRON is yours ??? socket A 754 939 ???

Everythings fine until i load quake 3, or half life 2, any 3d game really..., desktop works fine, apps run dandy.

Open the case and find out exactly what model number of mobo you have. The d/l the latest drivers for the mobo whether it be via, nforce, whatever.
It sounds like the gart driver is not installed and if the gart driver is not installed then the agp card will act like a pci card which means the graphics card will run at 1 x instead of 4 x or 8 times like it should be/:>
