ok i have this movie blackhawk down and it is european but i dont mind that what i do mindis that there are these annoying subtitles at the bottom that i cant remove i think a sweedish company re-authored it but when the dvd starts it asks for a language selection and none are in english and one more thing when i go to the subtitles menu to take it off it says there is somthing wrong with the dvd and no audio plays

Hi there,

This is NOT an original DVD right ?

Subtitles are usually on their own Subtitle track.

I have a feeling those subtitles are part of the image, therefore no way of turning them off...

My 2 cents...

damn i think your right but still want other advise before i scrap the dvd and it is not an original i downloaded it from the web but before the movie plays there is this thing that comes up sf svensk filmindusti and then it goes into language selection but with no english

Hi there,

If you downloaded from the net, play it on your PC with Media Player, or PowerDVD etc...

Make sure the subtitles are turned off, and if you still see them, I guess they are IN the video itself...

thanks mate this is one battle that those pesky subtitles will not win thanks soo much I HATE THEM SOO MUCH but will i be able to turn them off on a dvd player
