I've reached the end of my knowledge and don't know what to try next, so I'm hoping someone has had this problem and can point me in the right direction... thanks in advance!
-Using DVD Complete to author DVDs converted from VHS tapes.
-Using a Sony DRU-500A

-Something has changed so that now my computer does not recognize blank CDs of any variety. I can burn to them with Nero, but 'My Computer' says there's no disc in the drive unless the disc has data on it. So, when I finish setting up my DVD in DVD Complete and tell it to build/burn the project, the menus tell me I have invalid media in the drive and can not publish the project. I think the two phenomenon are related but I don't have any idea what would make that happen. Anyone?

Thanks,

Jmackula

I believe your using bundled dazzle software "dvd complete". read the guide that comes with the software. What you want to do is save the image or create audio/video folders saving them on your hard drive first, then use a dvd burning program like nero or stomp record now max to burn your project to disk.

Yes, it is the bundled software... I'm researching a better alternative but haven't made my decision yet. I'll take another look at the manuals (they're not very 'Complete', hehe) and see what they say about disc images. I know that the images DVD Complete creates are a proprietary format... hopefully there is a tool out there for converting them to an ISO or something similar.
-Putting the audio/video in separate files is a good idea, I'll see what that does, I still want the program to work the way it did before though.

Does anybody have a comment on the root of this problem?
