this is just nuts. I burned DNA$ H4x0r v0.2a to a DVD and tried to get the DNAS off one of my original/pressed PS2 games. I'm using SwapMagic v3.6, and the damn thing doesn't stop spinning. WTH?!?! Every time I want to play a backup, I just turn on the PS2, put in SM, let it stop spinning, pick the region and play. But DNA$ H4x0r v0.2a just keeps friggin spinning. What can I do to extract the DNA$_ID?

its not supposed to stop. The ps2 has to know you opened it when you put in the original (the 1 your getting the id off of).

So how do I put in the Disc ID program & still swap with my original game? If the PS2 keeps spinning the disc, what should I do??

you don't "swap". Im assuming you have magic keys or something, you need to take a piece out so the ps2 knows the top is open. Before you modded it, if you had an original in the ps2, then opened the top, the disc would stop spinning.

Ok so this was the problem: I own a v12 w/Swap Magic v3.6 and the Magic Tools (Tool A/Tool B/Tool C). In order for the disc to stop spinning, the cover must be lifted. But Tool A & Tool C block the sensors (that detect if the lid is up or down).

So what did I do?

I simply removed Tool C (in the back next to the hinge) when the cover was lifted, and it knew the cover was up. The disc stopped. I popped in the Game disc to get the DNA$ ID. And then I put the Tool C back in, so it worked the same as before.

Does that make sense? {The 3 tools cover a sensor, so removing the tool made it find the sensor again...}
