I have PS2 game backup consisting of 3 files
Game.GI
Game~1.GI
Game~2.GI
When I try to burn them with DVD Decrypter loading only first GI file it reports an error. I tried to edit first GI file with hex editor and I saw filenames inside are like
Game (11).GI and Game (12).GI. But when I edit it to show real file names or rename files it still reports error. Any idea what I can do? How can I get ISO Image directly from bottom two files?
if you cant select the "smallest" GI file with DVD Decrypter, then try this
open isobuster
1) select "file"
2) "open image file"
3) find the GI image wherever you have put it,(select the smallest one)
4) where it says "session 1" on the left hand side, right click on that
5) then select "extract session 1 <image>,user data *.tao,*.iso
when its finished, you will have 1 image instead of 3 files
just re-name the extension from tao back to iso
you can rename the extension by simply right clicking on the image, and selecting "rename"
then burn it
you should just beable to use DVD Decrypter o burn GI files anyways,so i am not sure why you cant
Thanks for that, but I believe problem is in wrong file names in first GI file. How can I edit it or use only two big GI files without small one? Any idea?
Btw I can select small file with dvd decrypter but it reports error when I try to burn, something like too long file name??
I have the small file but there is wrong path to big files in it. I will do as you say, but as I recall I already did that and tried to rename .tao to .iso but Nero or DVD Decrypter wouldnt accept such file for burning.
you said you tried renaming the files before, but that was when you had the 3 separate files
using isobuster will join the 3 together,(if you do it correctly),thats when and only then should you change the extension
