Is it possible to burn 13 one hour episodes of a tv series into one dvd or svcd or any other format using nero 6 and ending up with a decent dvd or something else.Maybe I am better off splitting the series up into to smaller dvds but with a good quality, opinions or advice please.....

sure, using a DVD9 and shrink to help reduce the file sizes a bit, unless you edit out commercials to help eliminate a few mb of space.

All the episodes are commercial free and are approx 350mb each,I am trying to put 6 episodes on a standard dvd using Nero vision express and will have to see how they come out. What do you think and what is the maximum mb I could put on 1 dvd usimg the above method??

i only take my burns to 4320mb total,i play with the setting though, depends on what project i am doing. sometime i go to 4360, others 4300, or in between.
can you make them into data format and play it that way on the dvd player?
just a thought, i do data for mine from time to time.
NVE will more then likely not allow you to put all that on 1 DVD5 maybe a DVD9.

If you use DVD Shrink, you can run the shrinking routine as many times as you wish ... just shrink and target a hard disc file (ignore the warnings)
But 13 files at 350MB each equals 4.55GB .. so just a little shrinking would do the trick to be able to record onto a 4.38GB disc ... I don't like putting anymore than 4.25-4.3GB on a disc .. I like to see a ring atound the edge, besides most PI Failures/Errors happen past the 4GB area on a disc
SVCD is not nearly as compatible as DVD+R, DVD-R and not even close to DVD-ROM ... plus the quality really suffers

Also thoose 350 meg files are going to be converted from whatever you downloaded to dvd video if you make a dvd video from them. Meaning each 350 meg file is going to become an average of about 2 gig when converted to dvd unless converted to half d1. Then they will be an average of about 1 gig per.
If you have a player that plays DivX or whatever the format they are in your best bet for what you want to do is use ashampoo shrink and burn. Then shrink each one to around 335 meg. Then make a data dvd and all 13 will fit. But again to play them on a set top player the player will need to support the format.

It will depend on there format. Do you know if they are DivX or XviD or what they are? GSpot or avicodec will give you this info if you dont already know what they are.

but you have never mentioned what dvd player you have and the model #
cuz if you have one thats mpe4 or DivX compliant, you can save your self a whole lot of time, programs, and trouble..

13 one hour movie files are not going to even fit on a DVD9 without a sever loss of quality, probably id suggest a max of about 5 episodes on one dvd to make it watchable.

good to see you too gear...
nah mate you didnt rain on my parade... i hate giving out wrong info...
another method he could try though would be to shrink all of the eps to KVCD then burn them all as mpg files which are playable in a standalon player... this might work but... ne way.
