Okay, Ive tried and read almost everything this forum has suggested but nothing in this forum covers the problem I been having. First I thought it was my media. So I went to buy TDK and verbatim dvd-r's. Still the same problem. I have a matrix infinity chip in a slimps2. I have dvd-r backups for ps2 that I got from my cousin and they work great. I have Nero 6, dvd decryptor, and isobuster.
Heres the problem- I burn the ISO at 2.4x and 4x so I can see which is the best speed to burn. Put it in the PS2 slim when finished. It starts up as usual and then Playstion screen turns up. After that...the game actually starts but the screen looks like its flipping through the game on the screen. Like its flipping thru pages of a newspaper but u can only see partial the game. Then after awhile your eyes start hurting cuz u cant focus. the burn speed isnt a factor cuz it does the same thing even on 2, 2.4 or 4x. Anyone have any suggestions?? or know of this problem??

You're trying to play a PAL game on an NTSC PS2/TV or vice versa. If you have a legit Matrix Infinity, you can force the game into the correct video mode from the firmware menu. You want to set the video mode according to whatever version TV you have. I.E. if your TV is NTSC, set it to NTSC, or PAL for if your TV is PAL.

83. Q. I have a modchip. I downloaded a PAL/NTSC game and my TV/PS2 is in the the other video format. How do I force video mode?
A. With Matrix Infinity firmware upgrade 1.68:
Hit triangle+circle at boot up. Adjust the video mode to NTSC. Leave the Y-fix on auto. You may need to adjust to + or - 20 on occasion. The auto setting should work well.

one of these

with a modchip you shouldnt haveany problems,
besides everyone who owns a ps2 should have one of these

That adjusts the video format of the game to your TV? Anyway if he has a legit MI, then he can force video mode anyway. drutyper did you try my suggestion?

Hey Hursty, i meant to ask you about this when you suggested one to me. Are these SCART leads for euro TV's only?
I do not have anything on my TV that looks like it could connect
to that. Here they use S-Video cables or the standard cables with the 3 plugs (right audio, left audio, video)
I really don't need one as my DMS4 Pro plays everything fine.
But am just curious.
