I have some mixes in MP3 format. These mixes are just one
file. What I need to know, is there a way that I can take
that one file, put it on a CD and create tracks points as
the mix changes without any breaks in the playing. In other
words, I have a 60 minute mix with 20 songs in one MP3 file.
I want to make a music CD with this one file, but create
20 tracks with this file and I want the music to flow.
Any ideas? Your help would be REALLY appreciated.

i don't have much experience with this sort of thing but i think a cue file may be needed.

Here's what you need to do:

create a cue sheet. A cue sheet is basically a text file with track times and other album info in it that tells the program you are using where to split the mp3 file. If you just want to burn the album to CD, use the "write CD" function of EAC (exact audio copy). It is a free program...other burning apps like Roxio or Nero don't read audio cue sheets. Or if you just want to split the album into individual mp3 tracks, you can use a program called mp3 surgeon.

This is an example or a cue sheet:
Quote:
PERFORMER "Sandra Collins"
TITLE "Tranceport 3"
REM ID: a4114a0b
REM Generated with Freedb Easy Navigator 1.2.5.0
TRACK 01 AUDIO
TITLE "Astral Projection / Liquid Sun (Cass & Slide Mix)"
PREGAP 00:02:00
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "Think Tank / F.U.B.A.R."
INDEX 01 12:08:43
TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "Bradley / Rush (Echo's Wave Dub)"
INDEX 01 15:25:67
TRACK 04 AUDIO
TITLE "Mara / Desanitize"
INDEX 01 19:24:61
TRACK 05 AUDIO
TITLE "Dune / Boomerang (Original Mix)"
INDEX 01 27:35:60
TRACK 06 AUDIO
TITLE "Ultra Violet / Heaven (Feel an Extremity) Chris Zippel Remix"
INDEX 01 32:23:02
TRACK 07 AUDIO
TITLE "Deep Cover / Deeper Inside (Original Mix)"
INDEX 01 37:48:41
TRACK 08 AUDIO
TITLE "LSG / I'm Not Existing (O. Lieb Main Mix)"
INDEX 01 42:42:34
TRACK 09 AUDIO
TITLE "Voyager / Motion"
INDEX 01 46:55:25
TRACK 10 AUDIO
TITLE "Shane / C'est Muzique (Armin Van Buuren Remix)"
INDEX 01 56:02:27
TRACK 11 AUDIO
TITLE "Rank 1 / Airwave (Original Mix)"
INDEX 01 65:51:18
Copy the above info into a new text document in notepad. Then change the artist/album/track info according to your album. Then scan through the mp3 and change the time index for each track to the appropriate time. Save the file, and rename the extension to .cue. Presto.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
