So what exactly does PeerGaurdian do? I know its some kind of blocker. but not really quite sure. and also does it slow up your download time any? any advice would be appreciated Thanks in advance to all that reply.

blocks known i.ps of major corps, which will prevent them suing you if they catch you uploading yours (or anyone's) software/movies/music/games

It is updated daily, and no, it has no bearing on your download speed..

sorry but im a noob with all of this. so with peergaurdian do you just install it and leave it running in the background when youre downloading. Is there some special instructions i should know about or is default settings ok.
