Hello, I did a thorough search before decing to post this, and I hope it's cool I chose the advanced forum. Anyway, I occasionally do favors for my family by taking their home movies, which I usually set up as AVI files, go through the whole converting process with IFOEdit and such. I have no problems making DVDs but one: They just don't play in my Xbox. My PS2 does just fine, or rather, it did up until my brother tried doing a disc swap with a butter knife and now it scratches burned discs, but not the real ones. But when I go to use the Xbox, it ALWAYS says it's a bad disc or has an invalid format. Is there anyway to make a DVD so the Xbox can read it too?

Thank you all in advance =)

You think it has to do with the fact that the AVI files are in Xvid codec? I'm going to try switching to Dvix and burning the AVI's then.

If your using IfoEdit and converting the AVI files to DVD they wont be AVI files anymore they will be (IFO, VOB etc etc) Files. So it shouldnt be an Xvid, DivX problem.

Do you have your Xbox modded?
What program do you use to play a DVD on your Xbox?

My Xbox isn't mod'd, I just have the DVD Kit. I keep my system legit while I mod'd my brother's. I mean, it plays regular DVDs and copies of regular DVDs, I just can't figure it out =\

Maybe the Xbox just doesn't like the brand of DVD+R I use

more then likly that is probably the problem. The Xbox dosent like your media your using. Are these diffrent Blank Media then you used before? If so you should try sticking with whatever media has worked in the past.
