yea you can you need dvd decripter and some way to play ur backup on ur ps2 ie swap magic or mod chip

any thing else give us a shout but the most important thing is they way to boot it cos without u can back it up just not play it

Hey all,
I have swap magic, and a flip top which work great. I copied a CD ps2 game, no prob using Alcohol 120. I purchased a dvd rw works great, set up great. When i try to copy a PS2 game on the dvd using Alcohol 120 it starts out great to about 30% copied and then keeps coming up with disk read errors. How do i get it to copy; am following the correct procedure, just wont copy the whole game before getting a disk read error.

don't use rw discs. only use -/+ R discs

in the options of Alcohol 120 uncheck the disc read errors box.

1) use DVD Decryptor
2) Use DVD+/-R
3) burn the dvds at their max speed (although other afterdawn members will tell you not to do this because of write errors, my burner used to freeze half way when i burned at less)

i just said wat i said because some dvd-writers dont work properly if you burn dvd at lower than max speed, i know mine doesnt ive lost over 100 blank dvds because i was burning at low speed and when i discovered that i had to burn at max speed, ive never had a dvd wasted + games always work even though im burning at high speed...

There are rare exceptions to burning at 4x. Knivez, your burner is one of them. What isuck was trying to say to anyone reading this is that burning at max speed is rarely a good idea. Burn at half the max speed of the disc to quality media, i.e. 4x on a quality 8x DVD-R. Not everybody's burner will produce optimum results at 4x, but if you have a 16x burner, your firmware is up to date, you're using quality media that should work most of the time.

yer at 1x it works better i think yer becoze when i Downloaded WWE Smackdown vs raw 2006 it didnt work at 4 or 8 x but then i done it wit 1x and it worked fine enless it waz the way i did burn it the music sumtimes stops and doesnt have the sound files like the Real game example:(when sum 1 is getting attack then they go for a pin Tazz says hang on they going for a pin)mine dont do dat but yer 1x good well seems dat way
