I need help with burning my games. When I try to write a game on DVD I usually have to use about 2 blank medias. When I use the first one it doesn't complete sucessfully. Then I use another and it completes. Can someone help me so that I want be wasting media. I'm using Maxell DVD+R media.

if your changing nothing but swapping in the next disk and clicking burn again, then it sounds like your PC just doesn't have the ability to keep up. try closing out all unnecessary programs. and don't use the PC while burning if your having those kind of problems.

i personally have never burnt a coaster PS2 game or movie out of 600+ games and 300+ movies. and the only failed burn I've had in quite a few years was a recent audio CD which turned out the disk had a crack in it which failed the verify.

try using a different program. i decrypt it with DVD decrptor MODE>ISO>READ. then i use Nero burning rom to booktype my verbatim DVD+R to dvd-rom and go to RECORDER>BURN IMAGE thn select the image file that DVD Decrypter made. Good luck.

What program did you used to burn (i.e. Nero Burning Rom, Nero Express or DVD Decrypter)? Is your burner's firmware up-to-date? What's the MID on those Maxell?

Maxell DVD+R (especially the "made in japan" by Hitachi Corp.) is a top notch media along side with the famous Yuden and Verbatim. I've burned tons and tons (near a thousand) of those mij Hitachi Maxell on both dvd movies and PS2 games and so far they all worked flawlessly. However, my DRU710A a rebadged of SOHW 1633S "automatically" changed the book type into DVD-ROM for all of my burnings though.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

I have a Sony DRU700A and have had no luck at all with +R DVD's
Now i have no problems at all with the -R, but the +R i could never get any games to work with. Movies came out ok, but not games.
Does that all depend on who the REAL maker of the Sony burner was?

if ur using dvd+rs with older ver. ps2s they might not work as well as the newer ps2s. i suggest booktyping dvd+rs to dvd-rom for better compatibilty. i even do that with my ver.12 ps2

Well since yesterday my father brought the full version of Nero 7 ultra edition. Yeah we paid about $80 for it. He also brought a lightscribe DVD writer and HP lightscribe media for my computer. But since I haven't had any problems with it. I love my dad he's really cool. The best dad in the world.
