I know i just joined to get help..and i'm a noob...
i need help.i saw all those 'bitcomet help'threads but as far as i know,towards the end the thread goes off topic.
PROBLEM:my bitcomet is slow.for example,i used to download an episode of naruto at the speed of 150kb/s but now after i reformatted my PC,the speed dropped to 10~60kb/s.i use Mtorola Surfboard sb5100,i DONT have a ROUTER so please dont tell me to forward any ports...besides that i dont have any thing to ask.PLS help thanks in advance

if you have a firewall this might be the cause just accept the port of Bitcomet wich is 6881 to 6889 i think (i'm not using it but most Bit torrent client use those ports
if you have the option of choosing your port put a high 1 like 65656
i just type a randomly port btw but at least i tested it no prog should use this 1

of a better way if you don't want to foward but ... it's to disable any firewall
but i don't recommand it

if you still got prob and not having any firewall running and disable the win 1
ask your isp if your modem got a firewall built it and how to foward port on it. this isn't frequent but maybe

oh yeah!.once i got fed up of bitcomet and i downloaded azureus.it had all green smiley faces.then i read on the net about tweaking and did some stuff.now my azureus say nat error for the port 6881.event if i put another port number there and the test says ok,i still dont get any green faces sometimes i even get red faces...
my isp is starhub if it helps

be sure you got a good torrent with lots of seeds

and a good ratio of seed and leecher more seed than leech if possible (just for testing anyway)
cause sometimes it's that make sure it's not a private tracker

don't forget to remove win firewall and any other that you have installed
fowarded port on your router

in azeurus you got a chat mIRC pluging connect to it and go to support room guys there can help you they will let you know if something blocking connection or its the torrent

i deleted Azureus.now i use only bitcomet.it allows me to download but i get slow speed.i downloaded a torrent with 500+ seeders and 100+ leechers and i still have slow speeds...if anyone could tell me the best preferences for bitcomet it would be greatly appreciated
