How can you tell if the PS2 likes the media you burn your games on? I have a couple of games burned on RitekG05 media code. The PS2 boots these just fine with swap magic and I haven't noticed any slowdowns etc. But how can you tell if the media you use is good for the PS2 and won't damage the laser that much?

ritekG05 is decent but not great media. but if it is working for you stick with it. the rule is "if ain't broke, don't fix it".

well. I just tried Verbatim DVD+R (burned with DVD-ROM booktype) with mediacode MCC004 and that works good too. I get more errors in nero with the Verbatims than I get with ritekg05 though. Is there any way of telling if a certain media is putting more strain on the laser?
I have a NEC-2510A btw
