Hey guys
I recently got a new computer and it does not have a dvd-r/rw drive, but it has room to add one if I want to. In my last computer I had a dvd-r/rw drive, I was wondering if I took the drive out of my old computer and plugged it into my new computer, if I would have to install drivers (that I do not have) to make the drive work. If it matters my last computer was a Sony Vaio and my new computer is a Dell Diminsion 4700. Also, the DVD-r/rw drive is a Pioneer DVR-130VA. If I do need drivers for this to work, would someone please help me locate them online, I have already tried but I could not find them.......
Thanks
Mike

If your using an operating system greater than Windows 95a, you do not need drivers for CD/DVD drives. ;)

try f1 to see if boot off hd if not than see what the hd jumper is set at as should be master or for dell cable select in some cases.

Monitor drivers aren't really "drivers" per se, but rather color profiles. Some might add additional resolution support..but since almost all monitors are Plug n Play, it's not necessary to install the info files from the CD, unless your like me, and like to have a clean and tidy Device Manager.
