Hey y'all, this is my first post and I decided to ask a question.

I regularly receive older laptops that are usually useless and disassemble them for parts. I collect hard drives, LCD screens and other things and reuse them. One of the parts that I want to reuse is the CCFL tube(s) taken from LCD screens. I have the inverters for a few and want to apply voltage to them to get the tubes to light up. I really want to reuse these for desklamps or maybe even use for case modding. Most are from PC Laptops and one is from an apple. Now my question is this: is the application of voltage to the inverter via the wires as simple as positive and negative (a few have more than 5 wires going to the PCB) and can I find or get some help figuring out the input pins to apply voltage?

the inverters P/N's are as follows:

a. 614-0018 (taken from older apple laptop, confirmed with a website that sells parts, has two CCFLs )

b. UA0376P03 (taken from older toshiba i think)

c. 1-656-884-12 (taken from a older DELL)

so can any one clue me in on how to get these things to fire up?
