I Just Tried to update py ipod vidieo and it stopped working so i closed out of the program, safely removed the ipod and i got a black screen with an apple symbol on the ipod and then it went all black. Now it will not turn back on. It is fully charged!!! Please Help if you can.

Hold the Center botton and Menu for about 10 sec. the iPod logo should apear and you should here lots of clicking and then you will be at the main Menu!

If that doesn't work, give it a restore by connecting your iPod to your PC, opening the updater (latest vers.) and click 'restore'.

blehman45 does your ipod show anyother simblos(folder and a caution sign, etc...)?? Ya lethal, Ipods are very tempormental.... They countinue to surprise me.

Well...
Ihave had my iPod for 3 days now and so far it has given me that unhappy face twice so like Lethal said

If you keep getting the "Sad iPod" icon, something is very wrong & I suggest you get it changed if it happens again.

A unhappy face is VERY bad. You will NOT be able to fix it yourself. If you have a warrenty i sugest you use it immediatly. Or you will have to send it into apple and have them fix it. Tough luck.... (same thing happend to me but with a folder icon instead. It was a pain in the @$$)FOlder and a unhappy face are the same icon. Just with different displays.

The folder icon does not mean the same thing. I had the folder icon once, but repaired it myself by putting it into disk mode & formatting it & it has worked fine ever since.

A support person told me on the phone that the folder icon and the unhappy face were very close to the same thing. All i know is what i was told. :) And as for the fixing part, i jsut know that mine was unable to be fixed and then lost. mabey you were lucky and got a minor issue. I no that mine was very serious.

Well I doupt I will get that icon again because I found the proble there was a Virus atached to a episode of monk that I got from iTunes!

A virus from an iTunes download. No offence, but I doubt very much that was the reason.. do you have any videos converted by a third party application?
