if you have a modchip installed you can use the PS2 to do it otherwise you'll have to do it via the PC, either a direct connection to the IDE or network them.

ok for playing backup you need hd advance to load the games onto your hd (the easiest way)
load your hda disk
select convert the disk will stop spinning and you can swap with you backup and it will install just fine
you will need either a slide card or fliptop to swap the disks
what above said wasnt wrong but far from right and a very hardway of doing it

no your the one flat out wrong and lost like a ball in high grass. the easiest way is via the direct connection to the PC, takes less then 5 min to install a single layer game and less then 7 for dual layer and never requires use of the PS2s laser. grow up kid, you don't know as much as you'd like to think you do, I've seen your post on how to play backup PSX games with the MC exploit, you show how little you know on how to do things the fastest easiest way in that post.

I agree as HD Advance is quite easy and can store close to 10 games on your HDD. It is easy as pie and only takes a little bit to download the games to HDD. I love that software.

yes i see the light now, he crammed a whole 10 games on his harddrive because this software was so quick and easy to use and i only managed to put 46 on mine with WinHIIP and my PC, I'm sure i put those on in less time then it took to put the 10 on his, but can you ever forgive me for being so behind??? it's a wonder that these other softwares ever made their way in the world with HD Advance being all it is......
and as for the networking being so dificult......with you being the master know all of HD Advance then you should know it has networking built in and can be booted in 'network mode' for direct connection to your PC via a LAN connection.

1) how do you no the size of his hard drive compared to yours yes may it was quicker i have no problem with winhiip i use it my self and i agree with it hooked up to your pc its alot quicker i never said no diff i said easier!!!!
as for me saying im a master of networking i never said a thing i was just pointing out the fact that for a person not knowing how to play backups on there hd its got to be easier just swapping the disks
also he is going to have to use pc if he wants DVD9 anyway
but what te hell both ways work just fine so lets leave it at that and a agree to disagree

ok ok guys calm down, i dont see however how the swap magic would help the conveting of the game, if you need to get to that swap magic screen and load the program to boot. i dont know if im wrong or not, its worth a try, and also, i dont know how to conect my harddrive to my computer, open up, plug into the correct location and then see if it works? iuno give me a heads up on both situations thanks

Yeah Sorry KC we are all not as wicked as you are. I mean if I was just 1/10th as cool as you my life would be soooo much better.
I only have a 40 gig HD, but if you had a bigger one, obviously you could put more games on it.
Its a great product that is easy and great for people that are not don't want to have to connect to PC etc.
Either way works, I do not have the time or need to have 9 million games on my PS2.

Lol fuck a lan connection from the pc to the ps2. It's not worth the time and it's a bitch just setting up the damn thing, and if you do manage to use a lan it goes slow as hell transfering even the smallest games. Just use winhiip
ps3 with 20gb hard drive
xbox 360 premium edtion with vga/hd hook up to my dell 20.1 inch widescreen lcd.
White and black 1.5 psp's
I'll take this down WHEN micro$oft decides to stop being lazy and make the capcom fighting games backwards compatible with the 360 dammit!!!

right just ignor us
this is the way i do it
right i am asuming you have hard drive advance
so all you need is something to open ur disk tray
either a slide card or a fliptop
if you are just wanting to install them on your hd i would go for a slide card alot cheaper google it you will find one
then load hda
when you chosse convert
swap the disk with a back hit x
and continue as you would if it was an orginal
not sure on networking it as ive never done it but im sure
kc will tell you if you want to
the other way is to take your hd out of the ps2
either install inside the pc case (far to much hassle)
or buy a hd caddy and connect it buy ur usb (thats what i do if i want to install a few games coz it is alook quicker but 4 1 game just install by hda will explain more on this if you need it but the one thing you wont need to is to change your ps2 in any way )
i would go with slide card thats my opinon!!!!
heeseop
a 40 gig can hold more but if you have big games thats all you are going to get donnt worry i think he just had the hump
hope this helps boobooman

I use HdAdvance and it works. If I were you, get Harddrive Advance 3.0 the new version. I have HDA 2.0 and it doesnt work with DVD9 Games but 3.0 does.
Also, If your games doesnt load, go to HDA Menu and highlight the game and press Select on the playstation 2 controller, then press x on each modes. This will allow you to play those games. this is mostly for online games. No, you dont have to do this everytime you want to play that game. It saves the settings for you.
It works... Maxtor is the best harddrive that fits all ps2 (Not slim since it doesnt have room for Harddrive).
If your using the Slim PS2, get USB Harddrive Advance, Connect to the Harddrive that has USB.
