i downloaded from the web, dvd decrypter and swap magic 3....what else do i need to get and to know so i can start copying ps2 games that work...do i need a chip? or is the boot cd good enough? what is the deal about the flip tops? my ps2 is the small one that as a sort of flip top to it compared to the larger size ps2 that as an ejecting disc entry...will it do the trick?

first off you need slim tools or Magic Keys, some type of thing that will stop the PS2 sensor from telling that the top is open. Since you already have Swap Magic 3.6(im guessing)You'll have to buy Slim Tools(7 bucks or so..) Your other option is to buy a fliptop.....one that is installed on top of the already built in one, so u can just open the top and remove the Swap disc.

sorry for my ignorance...im new at this..
figured out what slim tools where...do i absolutly have to modify the machine to have the copied games work....im from quebec,canada...were can i find the parts i need?

yep, u definitely need to modify these machines. basic search on google shud give you some fruitful results.

...so i need to modify the machine..
but is the boot disc(swap magic) and the cover modification all i need...i do not need to insert a chip in the ps2 for my games to work?

yeah, no need for chip. if you have swap magic with tools.
by modifying i meant that you shud modify it by installing swap magic tools.

Sorry about double posts, hit enter be4 i was done.(And slim tools are little pieces you put in the PS2 to block the lid sensors)They take about 5 mins MAX to install. And puttin in a fliptop voids your warranty, becuz you have to open up the ps2....so i suggest slim tools

Let me tell you now that a burned copy of swap magic will not work

thanx for the tip on the slim tools pacman...
why a downloaded version of swap magic wouldnt work? did you try them? even if burned on a dvd? let me know ...is there any topics about copied swap magic disc?....im sure theres a way to make this work...

I was just wondering, im trying to label my back up copy of PS2 games. Im using Alcohol 120, and it seams like all of the EA sports games cant have labels on them. Is anybody out there aware of this? And can you tell me why they dont work and if theres a way i can. thank you very much

The reason a downloaded copy of SW wont work is becuz you have no way to boot it up, becuz SW is to boot backups, if u have a backup of Swap Magic theres no possible way of using it...reagrdless of if itz on a DVD, unless u have a modchip...I say just buy SW and the Slim tools comes out to 35 CAN.....not too bad

the only way to boot a burned swap magic is with mod chip, but if u have a mod chip you could boot the game without swap magic, so a d/l ver is useless

QUESTION:
I hope someone can really help me. I just got the ulitmate swap plus and I am trying to figure it out. I put the disk in and the ps2 reads it then i use the flip cover and put a original ps2 game in, then go to chang media and it will switch from detect media ps2 cd to detect media ps2 dvd, then here is when i mess up. i go up to swap magic 3.6 and it will have load program, video mode normal that is when i take out the original ps2 game and put in a burn disk and it does nothing can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong?

what is ultimate swap plus???is that the combo of Breaker pro and Swap Magic??? If thats wut it is i honestly don't know what to do with it, or how to help u. Im thinkin about the SM, after you put in the backup, hit X.... "Load Program"..... That could be it, if that was ur question

Thanks this ulitmate swap is suppose to have a programs into one disk. instead of having a dvd disk and a seperate cd disk. this also has the hd loader, magic mem, swap magic plus and i think there are too many programs on this one disk that it isnt working for me. i finally figured it out enough that once i put in the original ps2 game it does read the detected media ps2 dvd then i go to swap magic where it does say load program, video mode normal but it is still trying to read the disk and it is going on 15 minutes. is there anyway i can buy the swap magic 2.0 version?
