Wow that motherboard is top-quality, it's a real nice SocketA mobo.
You'd have to scramble to purchase an AMD AthlonXP CPU for it though, they've pretty well dried up since last year but maybe you could find one (or an inexpensive Sempron) for it.
Hey, it's just like my mobo - but with GigaBit LAN! It's better.
Very good mobo but it is officially extinct, you must quickly purchase the best SocketA CPU you can find!
Your 'grand prize' would be a genuine Athlon XP3200+ Barton CPU, it runs all the fastest speeds (which your motherboard supports, no problem) and would be the best CPU it could ever have.

Okay,,this is how much I do not know about motherboards. I think it already has the cpu on it. It has a big square looking things on it with a little fan on top of that. If that is the cpu how would I know what type it is?

Hi Becca,
If you follow the link kindly provided by philraz, you can see large colour photos of the motherboard - it has a small cooler & fan on the Northbridge chip, but the big CPU socket (462pin) is empty.
If you have A CPU and cooler in place, you should then see 2 coolers - a little one & fan, plus a larger one & fan. Refer to the photos, download the Owner's Manual.

This is also a SocketA motherboard for AMD Athlon, but it is a lesser design than the nice Gigabyte, and a generation older.
It supports only 166MHz (333DDR) CPU and memory.
Slightly newer models will support only 333 CPU, but faster 400DDR memory (PC3200).
The Gigabyte supports both CPU and memory at 200MHz (400DDR).
The Soyo is inexpensive and is without 1394 Firewire, SerialATA, dual-channel memory etc. etc. that the newer Gigabyte supports.
In reality, only very few Athlon CPUs run 200FSB (400DDR), most run 166(333) and then you run PC2700 memory synchronously, so the Soyo works okay...
But it is much less mobo than that Gigabyte,

Edit: Oh yeah (forgot), here ya go:
