Can anybody help I haven't used emule for ages then when i did i decided to update it to a newer version when i did this norton popped up and asked me for access i gave it and now it pops every few seconds even though i say permit.

right, Norton 2005, this is the one I've got which I have managed to solve the problem that I had with relation to emule v0.47a Internet worm protection warning message that won't stop if this is what you mean.

open Norton go to the options menu at the top of the window scroll down to Norton antivirus. in the side menu under Internet go to Internet worm protection. under how to customise your settings go to program control. you should see a list of programs within that list emule will appear may be several times. There were three accounts of it listed on my computer. I think these three were in conflict or something. What I did was selected anything to do with emule and removed it from the list. once you have done this go back through the menus click ok ect.. then you may need to restart your computer open up emule and connect as usual and hopefully Norton shouldn't bother you again, well it work to mine anyway. if you go back into Norton to the same menu where emule was listed there should be only one entry instead of lots thus solving the conflict issue producing the Internet worm protection warning message.
