Can anyone tell me what the average download speed for a popular torrent with many seeders would be?

I know there are many variables but any help just as a guide would be good.

I have an ADSL Speedtouch 330 modem (not a router and not configurable as far as I can find out), 2 Meg broadband connection, Norton Firewall with ports 6880 to 6889 enabled/forwarded and I'm downloading from BitTorrent. The average speeds I get are 75k/bs with a peak of 120k/bs very occasionally.

Is this all I can expect?

On a 2 meg connection?. Its pretty good. Try switching the ports in ur client and norton firewall between 50000-60000 and see if ur speeds increase. Also try capping ur u/l and d/l settings in ur client to what, u think ur connection can handle.

No sig for u!.

Most speedtouch adsl modems have a built in router, check the portforward site for info on your model.
Then again, those are indeed decent speeds for a 2 meg connection.

Naw, I have the speedtouch 330. It's a good modem, but no built in router i'm afraid.. 120kb/s is ok, but I average 100kb/s, and i'm only on a 1 meg..
