Does STP (SysTrayPlayer) support VBR?

I've been using STP (SysTrayPlayer) for a while now, but I'm not sure if it supports VBR. Should I switch to WinAmp?

Also, when changing the LAME command lines in EAC are the commands case sensitive (for example, --alt-preset CBR 256 as opposed to --alt-preset cbr 256)?
