ok, Im downloading something off of Azureus... what does it mean when it says
Seeds Peers
2(2) 8(8)
1(2) 7(10)

like whats 1(2) seeds mean? how many people are seeding in that case?
and whats 7(10) peers mean? how many peers are sharing in that case?

and it my connection is green, and there are seeds and peers, how come im not reciving any data, but im uploading data..

and is there a way to keep my downloading active as opposed to downloading for 2 mintues then nothing for 20 minutes?

The ones in brackets are ppl in the swarm. They cant connect to u (if u have NO connection problems ie: green smiles, then its probably a problem on their end) and the ones w/o brackets are the ones ur fully connected to.

As for ur speeds the seeders/leechers says it all, u have 4x's the amount of leechers. Ur d/l speed will pick up once u and the other leechers get more of the file complete.

cool thank you. now i know what the heck it means!

is there a way to try and improve your connections to the people that are 100% complete and seeding? cuz i usually am connected to the peeps that are like 50% done and rarly to the 100% people..

like does updating the tracker help?

any ideas?

Well I would say u being connected to 8(8) and 7(10) of ur peers in that particular torrent is pretty good. Are u speaking of other torrents?, b/c if u are then u being connected properly has everything to do w/ that. (u say u have green smiles) so that is an indication of a healthy connection.

Take this NAT test and make sure ur fully connected:

~*~ https://grc.com/x/portprobe=

...after = put in port # ur using, leave Azureus on and run the test. Needs to come back as "open!". If it does, ur pretty much at ur max. I would suggest getting into a private site and d/l healthy torrents for ur absolute best speeds. PM me and I can set u up w/ one er two.
