When the action gets intense, chase scene, driving at high speeds. The game freezes, loads then resumes where I was. Is this due to crap media? I have been using Phillips -R's and Sony +Rs. I ordered some -R Yudens? Does anyone think or know if this will eliminate this issue?
It all depends on what your burner and PS2 seem to like best.
I know that is not really an answer, but it is true.
I have used Philips 8X DVD-R for years now and do all my movies, PS2 games and Xbox games on them and have had great success.
I have played them on both my V7 and V12 and they worked great.
Burned 95% of them with DVD Decrypter at 4X
But yours may do better with the TY discs, guess you will find out.
Rebuilding it may also help although i have rarely ever had ti do that. But if you have Nero and ISO Buster it is a very simple process.
Usually it is the media that causes the problems you are having.
The game's I have problems with are Need for Speed Most Wanted and Ultimate Spiderman. Spiderman acts up a little during intense boss battles and NFSMW acts up when theres alot of Cars on the screen and we are flying by buildings. Spiderman is burnt on Phillips -R and NFSMW is on a +R Sony.
thanks for the responses guys, you guys are awesome.

i responded to that post in my usual long winded fashion :)
thanks for the nice words.
I beleive they are CMC, which most people say are crap, but with the success rate i have had with Philips 8X DVD-R over the past 2 years doing movies, Xbox & PS2 games i am not about to switch.
Plus i just got more on sale at Circuit City or $5.99 a 25 pack.
