I am having issues making backups of my ps2 games. I have read all post about which media to use.I use Taiyo yuden,verbatim, DVD +/- and others with the same effect which is slow and choppy FMV though out. The gameplay is fine once it(if) get past the cut scenes.
My dvd burner is a Lite-on DVDRW SOHW812s with the most current firmware.
Movies and Xbox games burn fine.I only have issues with my ps2 backups.I have tried rebuilding the games with still improvement. I cant seem to fine the right media to work so I want to buy a new burner.
What do you guys think of Benq DW 1655? What burners do you guys use to backup your games?

Oh yea.. I burn with Nero,dvd decrypter and Alcohol 120.

have you tried using different burning speeds? Since xbox and movies are burning fine I think the problem might be that your ps2 laser is dying.

I burn at 2x and 4x. I had the laser replaced when i got it chipped about 6 months ago.( The guy who chipped it has a good rep and he gave me the old laser)I brought it back to the guy to have him check it out and he said it works fine. He said that he tried all diiferent kinds of media and they all worked for him...
