Manhunt PS2 backup

I backed up my copy of Manhunt cause I noticed a lot of small scratches appearing, which wasn't causing any problems, but I figured a backup was in order. So I backed it up using DVD Decrypter, and I get to the first video after starting a new game and it freezes. So I let my buddy try it on his old style PS2 and it works perfectly (my PS2 is the slim version). I haven't had any problems with any backups on my system so far, I've tried reburning Manhunt at various speeds on various media a few times, and its the same result. Does anyone know why it works on my friends faulty old PS2 but not on mine?

What kind of media are you using? sometimes it depends on the media and the playstation itself.....like for example i backed up madden 06 with verbatim and it is crappy but when i put that game in my guys playstation it works flawlessly and he has a older version of a ps2 than i do. but that only happens when i use verbatim...maybe you would want to change media?

What is your method of playing backups? And you should always use high quality media such as Verbatim and burn at half the maximum speed.

Eg. I use 8x Verbatim DVDs and burn at 4x and have backed up over 75 PS2 games flawlessly.
