Do I need a flip magic set in order to use a copied game?

I have used the DVD Decrypter to backup/copy an original copy of nascar ps2 game but does not display anything in the playstion. Says to insert ps2 format disc. My question is do I need a flip magic set for the playstation 2 in order to use these copied dvd games or is there some other simple way?

Yes you need a booting method such as Swap Magic with a fliptop or a slid tool (or the appropriate tools for the slim ps2)

Thanks for the reply I am new at this. My sone is 7 his ps2 disk tray slides in and out, just like a computers. Do you know which tools or pcs I will have to buy and where I can purchase them from?

All info greatly appreciated.

If the Ps2 is the bulky version you will only need Swap Magic and a slide tool or if you want to save time swap magic & a fliptop if its a slim ps2 then swap magic and a Magic Switch. Slide tools cost pennies were as fliptops cost more. All you need is

For Ps2:

Swap Magic
Fliptop/Slidetool or if its a slim Ps2 a Magic Switch

For PC:

DVD Burner
Good Quality Media (such as Verbatim) do not use RW DVDs they don't work
A DVD copying application such as Alcohol 120%

I cant really recommend anywhere because i don't know were your from but am from Scotland and i got mine from memtechsolutions.net
