I have a dvd dual layer writer and have been succesfully using clone dvd 2 and any dvd to burn onto standard 4.7gb dvd's.
I have tried a number of times to burn onto to Datawrite 8.5GB dvd +r dl selecting the dvd dl option on Clone 2.
For some reason the process does not complete and only part ( approx half)of the content gets copied over.
Can anyone help.

thanks

@stitch9,
CloneDVD 2 does well with Dual Layer. Howewver, make sure you change your burn speed, Called "Preferred Speed" in CloneDVD 2. change to 2.4 x. Also, Be SURE you have set the target size. Set it to DVD9DL. I am pretty sure this will take care of it. Datawrite DVD+R DL ?
Who makes those? I only use Verbatim DVD+R DL myself. Which I get at Best Buy on Sale regularly for $19.99 for a 10 pack spindle. They work Flawlessly. With CloneDVD 2 I might add. The "default" preferred speed in CloneDVD 2 is "Maximum". The default target it DVD5 You MUST change these to burn to Dual Layer. Try this. Shuold work unless it's a media issue. Or burner firmware not up to date.

Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

Did it with the speed and target adjusted - still had the problem .
will now;
1. use a verbatum disk
2. try with DVD Decrypter instead of anydvd

and see how I get on...
thanks

Let AnyDVD run in the background and use DVD Decrypter to rip and burn.
