Now if I lower my upload speeds down a tad will it affect my download speed in any way. Someone told me that the higher that you are uplaoding the higher your downlaods will go. Is there any truth to
that or is it BS?
I have a high speed DSL (6 megs a sec.) Im only getting like 90-100kps a sec. Im trying everything to get my speeds up.

It only works sometimes.
Sometimes if a torrent is very well seeded, and you're downloading very high, you can get it to go even faster by cutting off the upload. To do this, right-click the torrent in bitcomet, and hit properties. Go to advanced options, and check enable task specific settings. In the box below where it says maximum allowed upload rate, change it to 3, and press OK. Now, see if the download rate gets faster, or slower. If you have to, change it back. By doing this you can change the torrents that benefit from it, and keep the other ones uploading at a good rate.
You'll get used to it after awhile. Sometimes you can tell which ones will benefit from cutting off the upload rate, but there's no real rule to go by.
