what media are u using? wat speed r u burning that? what is the media id?

91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...
Last but not least you can use DVD Info Pro: http://www.dvdinfopro.com/
Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

Media TDK should be ok.. As long as they are DVD-R's or DVD+r's Booktyped to DVD-ROM burn speed NEVER burn at full speed always burn at 2x or 4x (4x Recomended)

DVDRW won't work

it's more than likely the speed you're burning at especially if you're burning at max.. What games are you trying to backup? What Modchip do you have? Games may need patches or to be rebuilt..

The more information you can give us the better... But I'm sure Burn speed is a big part of it.

and you're using DVD-R discs? or DVD+R discs? Some PS2's won't read +R format Dvd's unless you booktype them to DVD-ROM which is the real DVD Standard..

Well I'm not a Modchip man myself I use a Fliptop Swapmagic and most HD Loader and Hard Drive in my PS2 ..

Now according to Swapmagicfix.com there is a patch needed for Killzone to work with swapmagic

I don't know if it needs a patch for modchip use of not.. but it's worth a look into
could just be the game.. try backing up something else that doesn't have any problems and see where ya get

Basicly booktyping is burning the disc so your PS2 or DVD player think the disc is a DVD-ROM .. If your PS2 or DVD Player can't read DVD+R's but you booktype them to DVD-ROM then your Ps2 or Dvd Player will play them because they think they are a DVD-ROM format disc...

This site will explain it

What happens when the Killzone boots? yes maybe it needs to be rebuilt... doesn't look like it but that's a possibility...

are you using DVD-R or DVD+R?
