I was on a backing up marathon and suddenly decrypter freaks out. It does anything from not ripping menues to slowing read speed to .2 and below. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, restored the comp to an earlier date, uninstalled any new programs and updates, tried running with dvd43, & anydvd. Nothing helped. this whole thing started with Spanglish and has gone down hill from there. dvdclone w/anydvd seems to be working now but I wont know till its done.

Also, vobblanker wont accept the ripped files either siting various errors.

The slowing down bit sounds like it could be read errors or your in pio mode instead of dma mode.
Are your getting read errors on this disc? Try cleaning it off.
Check your drive's mode. Here's a link if needed:

DVD43 doesn't not play well w/ decrypter -even if it's not running. Since you have AnyDVD which is much better uninstall DVD43.
Sometimes AnyDVD can cause problems w/ decrypter - change this setting in decrypter go to tools>settings>i/o tab - check Elby CDIO - elaborate bytes.
