Hi, im new to the forum and just want to ask a question about my NEC DVD-RW ND 3550A, Firmware: LD1.Y5 (modified F/W).
I D/L and installed this modified F/W to allow bitsetting for DVD+R. BTW the original F/W didn't allow to change booktype for DVD+R (to change to DVD-ROM). SO set the booktype to DVD-ROM for DVD+R. So anyway i ripped a DVD into ISO using DVD Shrink and burn it with 3 different softwares: Nero, Imgburn, and DVD Decrypter. after successful burn, the verify failed and the burn DVD didn't work in my 2 DVD players. What I'm confused about is I thought changing the Booktype to DVD-ROM would increase compatibility. Is it my Media im using (i used imation DVD+R 8x and Maxell DVD+R 8x and both failed) or something wrong with my NEC DVD-RW Drive?
BTW The booktype was set to DVD-ROM for DVD+R
