Reloaded is the Warez group that put it out. So I would say it is a warez copy. and being on a warez site should have answered your question

So its fake. Microsoft does speak of reloaded editions on its site. So maybe this is where the warez site got the idea.

I have that operating system on my second computer. I just downloaded about a week ago. It's pretty much just a major strip down of unessisary Windows components (the things no one would ever use.) just to help the load times and speed of the system. I am loving it and it is something you can really tell the difference. My system boots ALOT faster/shuts down faster, and I find that I no longer get those damn "Application had to be shut down, do you want to notify Microsoft about this error" thing anymore.
I like it.

LOL at MOrt/. Yeah hes most likely talking about the sp3 hotfix unnofficail bs website. Where they load 5o some oodd hot fixes unto ya windows disk. Its the same thing with ryans msfn files, but ryans msfn is safer.

The only prob with doing what I did, or using a modded service pack made by others, is that Windows Update will no longer work. It's looking for machines tagged as Service Pack 2, and when it reads the reg key I just modded for fun, they won't match, and no updates will be listed.

Not necassarily Mort. Im running ryans msfn files and it comes up under the reg as sp3 and lists all the hotfixes. But under system info it says sp2 and I can still load all the latest from windows updates.:>

Check this reg key:
HKEY_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows
Look at the entry:
CSDVersion
If it says 0x00000100(256) it's SP1, 200(512) - SP2

Yup sp2. But it imports a key here for the updates from ryans page
The key is HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Updates\windows xp\sp3
Unless this was always there. But all the hotifxes are imported under those keys. Might be a good thing for yeah to check out Mort. It doesnt seem to harm anything and the os is still sp2.

I personally like it since I dont have to load any updates after installing. Its ready to go out of the box.
