Hi, I am converting divx files to mpeg1 in order to burn to vcd to play in my stand alone dvd player. On some of my divx files the picture is all blocky. Little squares all over. I would like to know if there is a way i can fix this. I am encoding with TMPGEnc plus 2.5. any help would be much appreciated. I would like to back up all my stuff as a personal library

If your Divx is very high quality, you could try SVCD instead, but unfortunately when you convert one form of compression to another, you will always lose quality.

Paul.
