Problem w/ Dual Layer Verbatim's or Dvd Player?

I recently bought a 10 pack of Verbatim DL +R dvd's. I use Dvd Decryper to burn the image. When I play the dvd, the 1st layer reads perfectly, but half way into the movie it doesn't read the switch over to the 2nd layer. Any reason why?

I have a panasonic dvd-f65 prog scan dvd player. I bought it about 2 years ago. All of my taiyo yuden single layer discs work perfectly.

I burn the dual layer discs at 2.4x speed.
I use a LG GSA-4167B Burner. The firmware has been updated.

I also used imgburn and i get the exact same results.

It works perfectly on my toshiba dvd player. I am pretty sure it's the player, but do any of you guys know if there is anything i can do to have it work on my panasonic player?

make sure u have imageburn set to booktype dvdrom. u could also try playing movie on a few dvd players. i have one that doesnt like to play dl media.

How do i set it to booktype dvdrom?

I am in settings but i don't see anything liek that

Bought my first 10pk of Verbatim DL's and haven't gotten on successful burn yet. I'm try to burn to a Plextor PX-704A and have tried an different combinations of the following tools:

1)AnyDVD
2)DVD Decryptor
3)ImgBurn
4)CloneDVD2
5)CloneCD
6)PgcEdit
7)Image Tool Classic

I've ruled out the problem being a specific movie (by trying 2-3 different)or firmware on the burner (tired v.1.01 & v.1.02).

At this point I have to believe it has to be the method I'm using as everyone seems to have success with Verbatim's as well as the Plextor 704A.

Any help would be appreciated as I head into burning number 10. Without any success here, I'm going to have to fall back to DVD-5 backups.
