Is there really a differance between these versions. I use 1.1 and it works fine, but many seem to be saying it is bugged. Itunes has not done anything that has upset me yet. (exept for slow speed) So, for new ipod users why sould they not upgrade to 1.1? Please only post things that have happend to you (personal experiances) and not lame rumors that have been circuling. Lets find out how bad 1.1 really is.

There is no lame rumours. Many people have come to this forum (and other forums) complaining that the new firmware has given them audio & video problems. Also, most of these people have said that upon downgrading back to vers 1.0, that their peoblems have been corrected. Sure, it may work for you, but there are still bugs in the firmware that affect many iPod users. If you look back through the threads in here, you will se that is pretty evident.

There are plenty of stupid things people of come up with. Like at school i heard a week ago "that lame vs 1.1 it deleted all my $!*&" I know that itunes does not randomly delete stuff on your ipod.

I do have another idea on why people's ipods get screwed up. Many people have diferent things on their computers that could easely screw up media files. For example winamp with its ipod plug-in screws up your video files. Just because something goes wrong doesnt mean you look on forums and find the thing that has the most bad plubicity on you computer and blame it on that......

There are major bugs with version 1.1 That is more than evident.

People are finding that downgrading resloves the issue. That proves there is a problem for some.

Just because you haven't (yet) had any problems with it, doesn't necessarily mean there isn't a problem.

Well, if something does happen to me, and after i have straight out proof that there is a problem with vs. 1.1 and i have eliminated everything else i will apoligize to you lethal_B, but untill then i still personaly beilive that alot of this is people's imaginations, and/or you favorite 3rd person programs working against you.

No, it isn't imaginations. It hasn't happened to me. But I have never seen so many problems appear upon upgrading to 1.1, then disappearing by downgrading to 1.0. It has happened to so many people; all you have to do is put two & two together..
