I haven't seen this anywhere on this thread so i thought i would ask the question
I Brought a copy of Tiger Woods 2006 and got it on media called RECORDand it takes ages to load up, if i use DVD Decrypter and put it on quality media will this allow it to preform better?
Thanks in advance
Cheers

The disc could be a part of it, but it sounds more like a burn speed issue. What speed did you burn it at and have you tried rebuilding the game.
I rebuilt and burnt it on a Memorex 8X DVD-R (total crap), and it works perfectly!

Not sure what speed it was done originally, cause i just buy my games from a bloke and don't have any idea what he burns at or anything.
I have just burnt a new copy of this using DVD Decrypter and burnt at 4X with TDK.
I will have a chance to try it out tonite, i was just wondering about other peoples luck with this.
Cheers

That is a very handy program that DVD Indentifier, the one i received originally of Tiger Woods 2006, the name on the disc was RECORD and these were the results
Unique Disc Identifier: DVD-R: GSC003
Manufacturer Name: Gigastorage Corp
Manufacturer ID: GSC003
I made a copy onto TDK disc and the game runs really smooth, it's name on the disc is TDK 8X The results were are follows
Unique Disc Identifier: DVD-R:TTG02
Manufacturer Name: TDK Corp
Manufacturer ID: TTG02
These games that i am receiveing on this media RECORD, i am pretty much re doing each game.
The TDK seems to be a good disc, with these results are they any good?

The TDK discs are okay. Those other ones are abominable pieces of dog shite. Almost everytime someone buys backups from people who sell them, the media is God awful. These people are shady and tend to not know or care about good media. A lot of these clowns seemed to be based in the Middle East/India, where some of the most God awful media in the world is manufactured. By all means copy all the backups you purchased onto the TDK's. I still recommend getting some Taiyo Yuden's or Verbatim's.
86. Q. Where can I find good deals on legit Taiyo Yuden's and Verbatim's?
A. http://www.supermediastore.com Great List of Merchants locally, online, in the U.K., etc:

You should've searched a little, there are plenty of places to buy good media in Canada. Get some Taiyo Yuden's or Verbatim's from the following sites.
Good Canadian stores
- Futureshop, futureshop.ca: The Canadian relative of Best Buy.
- Effectuality.ca: Excellent selection of media and DVD case supplies. Very competitive pricing, also ships to the USA.
- CDW.ca: Sells first-class retail-packaged media like Verbatim and Apple for decent prices. Excellent to work with as a business-to-business operation.
- ncix.com: Decent selection, decent prices.
