hi everyone.
i just bought a new case for my computer and replaced all the hardware from the older one into it.
all went well, connected everything exactly in the right places and was feeling quite happy with the way everything went so smoothly.
this is until i rebooted the computer.

Half way through rebooting I hear a bip and get a msg about a CPU FAN ERROR. this is odd, as the fan, all the fans, are working fine.
this is the full message:

__

pc-3200 single channel mode
checking NVRAM..
initializing USB controllers.. Done.
512MB OK
auto detecting Pri Master.. ATAPI CD-ROM
auto detecting Pri Slave... ATAPI CD-ROM
Auto detecting 3rd Master.. IDE Hard Disk
Pri Master..... etc
Pri Slave .....
3rd Master... etc
Auto-detecting USB Mass STorage Devices..
00 USB mass storage devices found and configured
CPU Fan Error!
Press F1 to Resume
__

After i press F1 the whole rebooting is completed and apparently the computer works fine.
Is this CPU Fan error a problem?
Does anyone know what this means or how to solve this?

many thanks for your help

If you've already checked to make sure the CPU fan is plugged into CPU_FAN, and it's seated correctly...you can turn off that warning in the BIOS.

There are different ways of getting into the BIOS which solely depends on the BIOS vendor. Most of us have to press DEL at the POST screen (screen that shows all the hardware booting up) just after you start the system.

Look for a section that monitors temperature settings.
