Just download it from ISOHunt.com or TorrentSpy.com since you own the original.

AnyDVD makes a DVD Region Free, so the latest version of it should take care of this. I backed up my Stealth DVD a long while ago. Easy with AnyDVD & CloneDVD 2. It was Very Easy. Never seen a Red disc. Weird. Maybe because I don't get region 2 discs? Don't know. Regardless, AnyDVD make the disc Region Free anyway.
Note: DVD Decrypter will never be updated again, never.

Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

The Stealth disc is red, its not a retail its a rental copy my mate rented and lent me. The retail disc isnt red thats why u can back it up! .... Ive got software to region free the drives/disc installed but doesnt matter, the disc must have a new protection, as decrypter gives an error message..ive tried every piece of software ive got, decryptor, shrink, clone dvd, clone dvd 2, ratDVD, smart ripper, everything!! Nothing!!!!!

The newest version of AnyDVD will allow you to copy this disc.These 'red discs' are region two rental copies and have sony arccos protection on them.I have AnyDVD 5.8.4.1 (although there are since newer versions) and i backed up this dvd.Use it with CloneDVD2 and you should have no trouble.
Also a word of note- you may not want to mention that it is a rental copy you are backing up as i think thats against forum rules....

@Goonerz,

The red color is nothing. In some places it is used for authenticity, I guess where you are from it is to distinguish a rental from retail.

You have the following options:

AnyDVD + some ripper or compression software (www.slysoft.com)
DVD Decrypter + PGCEditw/PSL plugin + FixVTS: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=56078
DVD Decrypter + IFO Edit + FixVTS: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260734
DVDFab Decrypter + FixVTS (http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm)
DVD43 (http://www.dvd43.com/)

and there are others

AnyDVD ($30) is the easiest to use since it is updated and will work for any movie as long as you keep it updated.

DVDFab is free and easy to use, but has problems at times

DVD Decrypter with the PSL Plugin is fast, easy, and free

DVD Decrypter + IFO Edit is also easy & free, but requires a few more steps. I can send you an updated guide (same method different movie, newer version of decrypter used) if you would like to try this method.

@BaconX, Regarding DVD Decrypter,
DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0
DVD Decrypter is a highly versatile VOB-ripping utility. The software takes advantage of both the DeCSS Plus and VobDec algorithms for looking up and decrypting the CSS encryption. DVD Decrypter is also multi-angle aware, and capable of removing the Macrovision scrambling key, as well as the region code during the ripping process.

If you wish to know how to use DVD Decrypter to copy DVDs to DVD-Rs, please read this guide. Also, for more assistance on DVD ripping, please visit our discussion forums.

What's new in this version? Changelog is here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This software is no longer available, this page is stored for archival puposes only.

On 24th of November, 2005, Macrovision Europe contacted AfterDawn.com, notifying us that they have acquired full rights to the DVD Decrypter software and have changed its licensing terms. Effective immediately, they have decided to withdraw all distribution rights from all third party companies, including AfterDawn.com. Thus, distributing DVD Decrypter is now as illegal as it would be to distribute cracked copies of Windows operating system or pirated copies of games.

Luckily, there are several alternatives available to DVD Decrypter. Here are the most popular ones:

DVDFab Decrypter (free DVD ripper)
AnyDVD (excellent DVD ripper that handles virtually all modern copy protections)
ImgBurn (DVD image burning software from the original author of DVD Decrypter, free)

DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0
License: Freeware
Operating Systems: Win2k/ Win95/ Win98/ WinME/ WinNT/ WinXP

The best way to get passed the 'new Rip Guard, and ARoccOS' copy protection if you don't have, or if AnyDVD isn't working for you is VOB Blanker...It has worked EVERY time for myself, and many others...

(Guide for using it)
